Fishing Report for Wed, October 12th

WE ARE OPEN 24 HOURS A DAY, 7 DAYS A WEEK!
The pier is open up to the "T" until it can be professionally repaired. PLEASE DO NOT PASS THE BARRICADE! It is for your safety.

We continue to have short runs of Spot, off and on throughout the day. They have been smaller for some reason and have been running in no predictable way.

We again have had a bunch of "keeper" Puppy Drum (Red Drum) today. They have been biting up close and most people are using either cut bait, finger mullet, clams, or clam Fishbites.

We have seen quite a few undersized Speckled Trout today as well; no keepers.

The power problem affecting the lights has been fixed and all lights are now working.

***PLEASE READ THE PIER RULES AND ETIQUETTE POSTED AT THE TOP OF OUR FACEBOOK PAGE!
When we are crowded and busy:
SHARE THE END OF THE PIER WITH EVERYONE!
ONLY 2 RODS MAY BE USED AT ONCE!
DO NOT SPREAD OUT!
CAST ONLY IN FRONT OF YOU!

Be careful... We have seen a lot of under-sized Red Drum and under-sized Speckled Trout recently. Red Drum must be a Min 18 IN. to a Max 26 IN.; you can keep 3. Specks must be bigger than 14 IN. (only 1 may be bigger than 24 IN.); you can keep 5. VMRC

Tides:

(For the most accurate tides, use Cape Henry and/or Lynnhaven Inlet for the address - the pier is about half-way between the two points)

Incoming tide is typically better than outgoing tide. Incoming tide is approx. 1 hour after Low up to 1 hour before High.
