Fishing Report for Wed, Oct 5th

WE ARE STILL OPEN 24 HOURS A DAY, 7 DAYS A WEEK!!

We are still getting good runs of Spot. The best runs have been on that early morning incoming tide, but they are having other runs throughout the day.

Runs have been a little unpredictable and occasionally short on the outgoing tides;  we've had longer runs on the incoming. Some runs have been on the end, some in the middle, and some up and down the pier. Live bloodworms have seemed to be doing better than the Fishbites. Wind is currently NE at 23mph and the next high tide is just before 1:00am.

Small Speckled Trout and undersized Puppy Drum have also been coming up.

BRING WARM CLOTHES AND SOMETHING TO BREAK THE WIND!

PLEASE CALL 757-481-7071 OVERNIGHT AND TOMORROW MORNING FOR AN UPDATED REPORT. DO NOT MESSAGE US ASKING FOR A FISHING REPORT!

**Regarding Hurricane Matthew - We will not be making decisions on whether or not to temporarily close until we know more. As soon as we know something, we will post it. Right now, it looks as though the storm will veer off into the Atlantic after it says hello to Florida and South Carolina.

When we are crowded and busy:

SHARE THE END OF THE PIER WITH EVERYONE!

ONLY 2 RODS MAY BE USED AT ONCE!

DO NOT SPREAD OUT!

CAST ONLY IN FRONT OF YOU!

Be careful... We have seen a lot of under-sized Red Drum and under-sized Speckled Trout recently. Red Drum must be a Min 18 IN. to a Max 26 IN.; you can keep 3. Specks must be bigger than 14 IN. (only 1 may be bigger than 24 IN.); you can keep 5. VMRC
