Fishing Report for Wed, Oct 26th

WE ARE OPEN 24 HOURS A DAY, 7 DAYS A WEEK!

The pier is open up to the "T" until it can be professionally repaired.  PLEASE DO NOT PASS THE BARRICADE! It is for your safety.

We're still doing well on the incoming tides. Today we had more  nice-sized Puppy Drum (including some keepers), some Speckled Trout, and a few short runs of Spot. The Spot are getting bigger and some have already turned yellow. They are biting pretty good when they run. The outgoing tide has been a bit slow. To fish tomorrow's incoming tide, you want to be here at 2am, 2:30pm, or 2:30/3am Friday morning.

Cut Bait and Finger Mullet will catch the Drum. Shrimp will catch the Specks. Bloodworms will catch the Spot (Fishbites are not working as well unless you are using the red package. Sorry, we only carry the blue package).

The wind is supposed to be ESE through SSW tomorrow – ick… maybe. The fish have occasionally been defying the norm around here. Just stick with the incoming tides unless we post otherwise. The wind will head NW on Friday morning.

We do not have a set closing date yet. As long as the weather holds and fishing and business remains good, we should still be open. We will post a closing date as soon as we know what that will be.

***PLEASE READ THE PIER RULES AND ETIQUETTE POSTED AT THE TOP OF OUR FACEBOOK PAGE!

When we are crowded and busy:

SHARE THE END OF THE PIER WITH EVERYONE!

ONLY 2 RODS MAY BE USED AT ONCE!

DO NOT SPREAD OUT!

CAST ONLY IN FRONT OF YOU!

Be careful... We have seen a lot of under-sized Red Drum and under-sized Speckled Trout recently. Red Drum must be a Min 18 IN. to a Max 26 IN.; you can keep 3. Specks must be bigger than 14 IN. (only 1 may be bigger than 24 IN.); you can keep 5. VMRC
