Fishing Report for Fri 5/5

The pier is only open up to the "T." PLEASE DO NOT PASS THE BARRICADE RAILING! It is for your safety.

The water is calm, but you may want to bring a jacket.

We have caught two "keeper" Black Drum using Finger Mullet. We've also had some decent sized Roundhead and a few small Spot and Croaker here and there. They have also had a couple of Puppy Drum of unknown size.

Crabs are biting and we would say the catch has been okay. They are the average size you would expect for early in the season; the water is still a little cool.

VMRC Regulation Cards have not yet been issued this year. Please read the regulations online:…/re…/swrecfishingrules.php

Just a reminder to everyone that WE DO NOT GIVE OUT INDIVIDUAL FISHING REPORTS VIA MESSENGER on Facebook. Please continue to check our here, or our Facebook Newsfeed. (For the most accurate tides, use Cape Henry and/or Lynnhaven Inlet for the address - the pier is about half-way between the two points)
