Fishing Report for Sat, Sept 17th

Had a good run of 2-at-a-time Spot again this morning. They also had a few Croaker, and several baby Cobia were caught and thrown back. It's slowed down this afternoon/evening, though they are getting a some out on the end. They ought to pick up again, we just don't quite know when that will be. The best runs have been early in the morning starting sometime between 3am and 9am.

The wind has gone ESE/SE. It is supposed to head NE again on Tuesday.

SHARE THE END OF THE PIER WITH EVERYONE!
ONLY 2 RODS MAY BE USED AT ONCE!
DO NOT SPREAD OUT!

PLEASE CALL 757-481-7071 OVERNIGHT AND TOMORROW MORNING FOR AN UPDATED REPORT.

Be careful... We have seen a lot of under-sized Red Drum and under-sized Speckled Trout recently. Red Drum must be a Min 18 IN. to a Max 26 IN.; you can keep 3. Specks must be bigger than 14 IN. (only 1 may be bigger than 24 IN.); you can keep 5. VMRC Regs are here:

They are getting a few Crabs, here and there, but they are definitely not biting anywhere near as well as before the tropical storm.

Just a reminder to everyone that WE DO NOT GIVE OUT INDIVIDUAL FISHING REPORTS VIA MESSENGER on Facebook.
