Fishing Report for Tues, Aug 30th

The NE wind is a blowin' and the fish are a bitin'! We've been getting runs of nice-sized Spot between the tides; they've been slowing down around a tide change. They are even getting some 2-at-a-time runs!! How long will it last? Only Mother Nature knows; but we'll take it!

They've also had nice-sized Roundhead and some Croaker. Be careful... Some under-sized Red Drum and Speckled Trout have also been seen. Red Drum must be a Min 18 IN. to a Max 26 IN.; you can keep 3. Specks must be bigger than 14 IN. (only 1 may be bigger than 24 IN.); you can keep 5. VMRC Regs are here: https://webapps.mrc.virginia.gov/…/re…/swrecfishingrules.php

Crabbing is still good, but is a little slower than it was prior to all the NE wind. They did really well during the day today, but it's slowed down some tonight. We don't know if it will stay that way, or not.

Also, while the end is so crowded because we are catching fish, please follow some common Fisherman Etiquette while you are out there:
-Cast only in front of you
-Do not cut someone else's line without their permission
-Do not push or bully others out of a spot you would like to be in if they were there first
-Do not claim-jump someone else's spot if they leave to go to the restroom or to get more bait
-Do not spread out into more space than you really need
Following these simple rules of etiquette will make everyone's fishing trip that much more pleasant.
Thank you in advance for you cooperation!
