Fishing Report for Fri, July 22nd

🎶 I'm Henry the Eighth, I am. Henry the Eight I am, I am. I got married....♫
Second verse, same as the first.
🎶 I'm Henry the Eighth, I am. Henry the Eight I am, I am. I got married....♫
So, that's kind of what the fishing report has been all week. If the following report sounds familiar; that's because it is.

Daytime fishing has been slow due to the heat, and the water temps being above 80 degrees. They've gotten some little, piddly stuff during the day, but not much.

Early evening has been some smallish fish, and occasionally rays or skate.

Very early morning (before dark - between midnight and 9am) has been decent. Nice-sized Roundhead (Whiting/Sea Mullet/Southern Kingfish), some pan-sized Spot, and a few small to pan-sized Croaker.

We've also seen some small Dogfish and one baby Hammerhead (yes, it was a hammerhead, I saw the photos).

Crabbing remains phenomenal!

WE SUGGEST YOU BRING YOUR SUNSCREEN AND DRINK PLENTY OF WATER if you are coming out during the day!!

Just a reminder to everyone that WE DO NOT GIVE OUT INDIVIDUAL FISHING REPORTS VIA MESSENGER on Facebook. Please continue to check our Newsfeed and if our report is not up to date enough for you, please feel free to call for the latest fishing report 757-481-7071. (New reports may not be posted on Sundays and Mondays because tech support is not available.)
